Immortalise your pooch with a portrait good enough to hang in the parlour. Simon Postgate guides you through the processes and decisions involved with producing a detailed and dramatic charcoal drawing of a dog!
The technique employed involves using charcoal and oiled charcoal on high quality Italian paper. The emphasis at the start is on accuracy using tried and tested methods such as measuring and using a grid.
The day is aimed at students familiar with using art materials that said, if you want to jump in and give it your best shot Simon will do his best to make it successful.
By the end of the class you should be well on your way to having a large drawing of sufficient quality to put on display in your place of residence with the skills to produce many more!
