With Ben Dickson

This is an entry level lino print course to suit the beginner. In the first session attendees will be designing, drawing and cutting some simple lino designs. In the second session the cutting will be completed and the finished designs printed.

The course will be in the morning from 9:30am - 1:00pm either Saturday 13th and 27th November or Wednesday 17 and 24 November. You need to be able to come along to both sessions on either Wednesday or Saturday.

All equipment and materials, as well as tea and coffee, will be provided and the course is free although donations are welcome.

Ben Dickson is an experienced lino print and portrait artist based in Whitstable. He has worked variously as a printmaker, designer and artist since 1986. Ben is currently organising his second large group lino print exhibition for the Horsebridge in January 2022. This exhibition will include 25 British and International lino print makers exhibiting various printing styles.

These workshops are part of a programme of Creative Workshops the Horsebridge is launching supported by a great community of local artists and teachers.  The workshops will take place in our large, light and airy Studio and our aim is that each session will give people the confidence to try a new skill and take part in creative and enjoyable activities as part of new group.

Thanks to so many of our tutors offering their services for free, and support from Arts Council England, we are able to offer the workshops on a Pay What You Can donation basis.  We hope that through these donations we will be able to extend these activities and make them part of a permanent creative programme at the Horsebridge.
