UPDATE: We will now be closed as of Saturday 21 March in line with government request.
It is with a heavy heart we have decided that we must temporarily close the doors from Monday 23 March 2020. Our priority has to be to keep staff and visitors safe and to act responsibly. The medical and science experts are recommending that we all avoid large gatherings and stop non-essential travel and have now shut schools accordingly, so we have decided we need to close to play our part in delaying the spread of the virus.
We appreciate that our closure impacts not just the amazing artists and creatives who deliver arts at the centre, but also you as a participating audience. We understand the vital role the arts can play in times like these, so whilst our physical doors are closed we will be looking for other ways to enable access to the arts. Please keep an eye on our social media, newsletter and this website and help us combat the strains of living in isolation.
As a charity we will be working to find new ways to survive the impact this will have on our finances and to support our incredibly hardworking staff through the uncertainty we now all face. If you can consider making a donation or joining as a Friend it will make huge difference to us.
If you have booked an event or any form of venue hire we will be contacting you soon, but please bear with us as there are some questions we just don’t have answers to yet.
As always, our thoughts are with our community and everyone affected by the pandemic and we look forward to being open for you again soon.
