From theatre and films to workshops and regular classes, there is always something for families at The Horsebridge. 

Please view the details for each activity to see how to book, some are run by tutors who hire our spaces, so contact them directly for any queries or to book.

You can filter the classes below by the type of class.
Some classes only run during term time or have specific start dates, so please make sure you check the calendar or with the tutor before turning up.

Art Den

Wednesday Come along with your little one to paint, draw and model at this weekly creative play session, with different art activities each week to enjoy together. Please make sure you bring or wear clothes you don't mind getting messy!

Family Art Club

Saturday For children of any age who like to be creative to enjoy with parents, guardians or grandparents in a supportive and inspiring space. Next on Saturday 4 October.

Young Makers Club

Wednesday An informal weekly after-school club where young people can learn about different mediums and explore their own art style. There is a different topic each week with an art or craft project to make and take home.

Halloween Cupcake Class

Wednesday 22 Oct. 9:30 and 11:30am. Take home four specially designed halloween cakes and eat one during the class! Ages 7+ (or accompanied by an adult) - Bring an apron!

Photography workshop with Ignite Creative Academy

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday A half-term workshop on the fundamentals of photography from Monday 20 Oct to Friday 24 Oct with Ignite Creative Academy. We aim to unlock your child’s creativity through photography.

Family Beach Draws with Liz Atkin

Sunday Fun family charcoal workshops, sketching on the beach before creating a giant communal artwork in the studio at the Horsebridge on Sunday 26 October.

Into Film Festival

Tuesday 25 November 2025 The Horsebridge is a part of the Into Film Festival 2025, the largest free youth film festival in the world, taking place between 7-28 November 2025.

Hey Diddle Music

Thursday Hey Diddle Music sessions are full of songs, movement and instrument play for very young children and their families. The structured classes open up the world of music in a relaxed and stimulating environment.

La Jolie Ronde - Preschool French class

Friday It's never too early to let your child experience a foreign language. Little ones love our fun classes full of songs, stories, toys and laughter, with friendly French bears Bonbon and Suzette.

Little Science Society

Thursday This Science course is suitable for all home educated budding scientists age 5-11 and accompanying grown-ups. Delivered in small groups to ensure individually tailored approach.

Christmas Cupcake Class

Monday 22 December 10am. Decorate and take home 4 specially designed Christmas Cupcakes, with one to eat during the workshop! This class is designed for children 7+ but those younger are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
