Great Big Friends appeal

500 Friends in 50 days!

Running an arts centre is fulfilling but incredibly hard work. For all arts organisations, gaining funding to deliver projects like the stunning Think Of Me and thought provoking Waste Line exhibitions or the large community event 'They came from the deep'  is getting more difficult but we think that because we have worked hard to earn a reputation for delivering high quality arts experiences, The Horsebridge will continue to do well in the future.

However, money to just keep the Horsebridge open, warm, cleaned and maintained so we can deliver activities and support our visitors is not so easy to raise!  This is where we need people like you, our friends who value having us here.

For the same price as a cup of coffee a month will you become our Friend?

The population of Canterbury district is over 160,000 and we welcome over 90,000 residents and visitors through our doors every year. As part of the relaunch of our Friends scheme we have set ourselves a target of 1% of the visiting population becoming regular supporters of the Horsebridge as Friends over the next 12 months, but to get off to great start we really need to reach 500 Friends before April 2020 and we are really hoping you will be one of them!

Friends get great benefits including 10% off our shop and Cafe Revival, but you'll also get the benefit of knowing that you are part of the community supporting us to ensure the sustainability of The Horsebridge and secure its future as a flagship arts centre for the communities we serve. Please join now!

Explore our website and find out more about us and perhaps there are other ways you wish to support too.

We'll be posting many memories of the great projects we've made and the work we do over the next 50 days, but to start with who can forget the incredible Last Post being played to open our WW1 commemorative Think Of Me exhibition.
