We are incredibly pleased to announce that we have been awarded funding from Arts Council England and the government’s Culture Recovery Fund that means we can stay open, continue creating arts for all across our district and be #HereForCulture.
We wanted to share some fantastic news we have received this week. We have been awarded £35,000 by Arts Council England (ACE) towards anticipated loss of income due to the impact of Covid-19. The award will cover around 80% of the anticipated financial impact on the centre IF we are able to open from July.
Following questions from our supportive community we thought we’d let everyone know how we are doing and what our situation is at the moment.
We have been awarded funding to support our film screening programme, from the National Lottery Awards for All grant scheme.
The Whitstable Seaside guide has just arrived at the The Horsebridge and is now exclusively available in our shop for £1.00. The beautifully illustrated guide is part colouring book, part nature guide for children, families and anyone interested in learning about the flora and fauna that live on our local beaches.
We are very excited to announce our new Youth Heritage and creative arts project 'Young History Makers' funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The Horsebridge commissioned local artist Laura Watson (creator of the popular Whitstable colouring book) to illustrate and design a Whitstable Seaside Guide. The exhibition brings the guide to life.
