About the Artists:
Laura Drury LRPS
Inspired by the impressionist painters of the late 1800s, photographer Laura Drury aims to capture the essence of a scene rather than a direct representation. Using slow shutter speeds, intentional camera movement and multiple exposures Laura’s images are a fusion of photography and art.
Gaven Alexander
Gaven Alexander is releasing his first children's book and will be presenting paintings that feature in "The Forgotten Pond"
Written and illustrated by Gaven, this is the culmination of a few years of work.
It tells of a pond community pulling together to save the appearance of Lower Mill Pond, situated in Bysing Wood and surrounded by the earie Gunpowder Works at Oare. It'll take you on a journey of courage and determination, in a world a very few people see.
