The Printmakers Council was founded in 1965 by renowned artists (including John Trevelyan and Michael Rothenstein). The intention was to both educate the general public about contemporary printmaking, and to promote the work of its members. These are still our objectives today, and the increasing interest of print as a medium is reflected in the growth of our membership
