Researched and crafted during an artist-in-residency programme with The Horsebridge, this body of work reimagines the Roman mythology of Salacia, the goddess of salt water. Set in a contemporary Whitstable and inspired by gothic ghost stories, ink and watercolour illustrations combined with poetic storytelling weave a narrative around the gallery space exploring themes of feminism, mythology and natural mysticism.
