The Kent Potters Association (KPA’s) main aim is to increase awareness, educate and increase interest in the craftmanship of ceramics. We also want to help support our local ceramicists. One of the ways we can do that is provide a local exhibiting opportunity for students, amateur and professional potters from Kent and the South East.
We educate beginners in how to pass selection for exhibitions and give local artists (professional and amateur) the opportunity to exhibit together in a professional space. We aim to widen the public interest and appreciation of studio ceramics.
Throughout the year the KPA provides support, motivation and education via talks, workshops, studio visits and masterday demonstrations. These are open to all.
Pottery is not only enjoyable but is also a therapeutic activity which can ease anxiety and stress. The Kent Potters Association encourages people of all ages to experience the magic of clay!
KPA also offer the chance for visitors of the exhibition to become members of the Kent Potters Association so they can continue to encourage ceramics within the local area
