Helen lives on the edge of the sea in Hythe, and her work is inspired by the constantly shifting moods of sea, sky and beach, from misty grey moonlight to sunlight infusing water with splashes of gold. Her semi-abstract canvasses glow with rich colours, silver and gold leaf.
Catherine’s new large collage works, made from her own printed papers, explore the cycle of seasons, youth and age, growth and decay through the endless transformations of the Chinese Five Elements - Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.
