Earworm

I’m thrilled to present my Earworm exhibition at the Horsebridge
For my Earworm exhibition, I have combined randomness and impossibility to create colourful Surrealist collages to delight and entertain you.
I have given many of my collages the titles of songs whose lyrics have some connection to the image (probably!). I hope you enjoy recalling some of those songs; or perhaps have a go at guessing the titles of my collages before checking with the exhibition catalogue.
As a member of Whitstable’s Lindley Players, I have collaborated on painting many theatre sets at the Playhouse over the past decade. The theatre’s influence can clearly be seen in many of my Surrealist collages, and in my artistic process.
I will be hosting ‘How to be an Instant Surrealist’ throughout Earworm. This is your chance to try my particular collage process to create a unique Surrealist image.
You are welcome to photograph and share your results on Social Media. This mini workshop is free, but please do make a donation to the Horsebridge if you can.
