Call for Artists

We launched POST Hope, an open submission exhibition, back in September and we are keeping it running through lockdowns, Tier 4 and whatever comes next. Keep sending in your postcards of HOPE!

The concept of POST Hope is inspired by our previously successful and popular POST Nude show. By adapting the theme, we aim to bring together the artistic community in an uplifting exhibition of postcards, visualising what hope means to you.

Guidelines for taking part
  • This exhibition is open to all and free to take part in.
  • The POST Hope image must be sent on a postcard or on a template the size of a standard postcard.
  • It is fine to use a picture postcard to upcycle or adapt, but all artworks must be original.
  • All mediums are encouraged but the image must be displayed on the front, attached securely and fixed if the materials used are likely to smudge.
  • On the back please include the title of the work, your name and either an email or mobile number if you wish to be contacted in the event of a sale*. A message of hope is also encouraged.
  • Postcards must arrive either via the post or in our post box located on the outside of the building.
  • If posted, it must have a stamp on, please weigh to get correct postage amount if heavier than usual card.
  • Maximum of 2 postcards per artist please
We will continue to exhibit the entries in the windows of the galleries throughout lockdown, so please post your finished cards to us at

The Horsebridge Arts Centre, 11 Horsebridge Road, Whitstable, Kent, CT5 1AF

*Each post card will be on sale for £20, with £10 of the proceeds going to the Horsebridge Charity.
