Projects

Our aim to make arts acceisble to and part of the way we achieve this is through projects that can run for months or even years. The projects may be grant funded, sponsored or support from our own income generation and workng with volunteers.

We have an extensive history of project work that we will be showcasing here over time, but while we bring all that work together we are starting with our active and most recent projects.

Studio Sessions

The Horsebridge has launched a programme of Creative Workshops supported by a great community of local artists and teachers. The workshops will take place in our large, light and airy Studio and our aim is that each session will give people the confidence to try a new skill and take part in creative and enjoyable activities as part of new group.

Art Bank

This is an initiative that we have developed in partnership with Whitstable artist, Catriona Campbell.  We have been collecting unwanted arts and crafts materials (and books) and will offer these on a “pay what you can basis”. We also will use some of the materials in free, or affordable, creative sessions for adults and children.

The Wild Escape

A celebration of UK wildlife and creativity in partnership with the Whitstable Museum and led by the Art Fund. With primary aged children we have discovered the collections held at Whitstable Museum and imagined the journey these creatures would make back to the sea and how, as a result of climate change, their habit may be different and how they need to adapt in this new environment.
