For 3 weeks over the summer holidays, children and their families joined us in our new Studio for an undersea adventure to help us build the bottom of the ocean up on our terrace, in a series of art and craft workshops designed especially for young sea explorers.

In each of these workshops children made sea themed mini models, which decorated and brought to life a magical, underwater world, full of natural and pirate treasure, right in the heart of the Centre.

The workshop participants added their creations to a super-sized public art display up on our terrace, which was open for everyone to visit on the Oyster Festival Weekend (27 - 30 August 2021).

There were additional free family craft activities to take part in over the long weekend in our studio space, as well as activity packs inspired by our unique coastline to take away and enjoy.

*Mindful of the impact on our local environment, the majority of the materials used were upcycled and repurposed and once the Oyster Festival was over, the seabed installation was recycled and reused wherever possible.
