This drawing course will focus on the technical relationship between tone and colour. It is designed to help participants strengthen their understanding of tone and use that knowledge to build a relationship with colour.

As this is a drawing course, participants will be encouraged to work with materials associated with drawing. Within this framework, students are free to work with the drawing materials of their choice, such as charcoal, pastel, graphite, coloured pencils, fine liners, and watercolour.

The classes will be rigorous, but the timetable relaxed, with 7 classes spread across February, March, April, May, and June of 2025. Please refer to the timetabled dates for further details. Each class will be held for 2.5 hours from 12:30 to 3pm with an afternoon tea break at approximately 1:45pm. The learning environment is designed to be conversive and supportive, with lots of opportunities to share work and learn from each other.

The Tutor, Camille Serisier, is an international artist who specialises in visual storytelling. She is a current studentship holder and doctoral candidate at the University for the Creative Arts. Camille is also an experience educator having taught in primary, secondary, tertiary, and further education across her career.
