Lindsay will show you how to design and make your own wet felted vase around a glass centre
In this half-day workshop you will learn the ancient craft of wet-felting. Choose your colours, create your own design and learn to make a felt sleeve to fit around a glass. All materials will be provided for you to take home a beautiful, unique and practical vase.
Lindsay will show you how to make a cylinder of felt: laying wool and embellishments around a resist then wetting, rubbing and rolling until it fits snugly around the glass. The class is suitable for complete beginners and those who've already tried felt-making and would like to learn to use a resist to make 3 dimensional felt.
As this is a fundraiser, all the class fee will go to supporting The Horsebridge Community Arts Centre.
Wear comfortable clothes (they may get a little wet) that allow free arm movement. Apron optional.
