Turn everyday items into stunning art at our hands-on Printing with Found Objects Workshop for adults, a creative experience where no advanced carving skills are required.
Participants will explore an experimental, hands-on process that transforms recycled household materials, industrial scrap, and natural elements into striking relief or monoprints.
Throughout the session, you will learn to ink and press unconventional objects, mastering the proper application of relief ink using rollers to capture fine, intricate surface textures.
As you experiment with overlapping shapes, negative space, and colour mixing on different papers, you will discover how to repurpose scrap packaging into creative print plates. The workshop invites you to dive into a vast palette of textures, from household items like lace, utensils, netting, and elastic bands, to industrial hardware including washers, screws, wire mesh, and bubble wrap. You will also connect with nature by incorporating organic textures such as pressed leaves, feathers, twigs, and flat seed pods into your designs, leaving with a collection of unique, hand-printed artwork.
