IMPORTANT BIDDING INFORMATION

Please make sure you have read our bidding disclaimer before bidding. If you place a bid, if your bid is successfully submitted you will be returned to the the main auction list page. It will not update the page immediately with your bid.

Each artwork shows a current bid and the time when that bid last changed.

We are accepting bids online, by email, in person and over the phone so need to manually update the current bid with the highest bid placed by any of these methods.

As the bidding deadline (4pm UK time on Sunday 22 February 2026) gets closer we will aim to update the current bid more frequently, but we aren't able to guarantee the current bid shown will reflect the highest bid, so please bear this in mind when bidding. If for any reason the website crashes or the phones are busy, please email us your bid, as long as we receive it before the deadline your bid will be included - make sure to include the item you wish to bid on and your bid please. If in doubt about your bid at all, please give us a ring on 01227 281174.

Once the auction has ended, winning bidders will be contacted via email with an invoice and payment can be made online, over the phone or in person.

If you are unable to collect artwork we are happy to package the artwork for delivery, but you will need to organise the courier after the auction has completed and this may not be appropriate for some items.

Happy bidding!

Lucy Boutwood

Artist Statement

Lucy is a Whitstable artist and explorer of things. She loves to intertwine various mediums, textures and subjects. Her artwork aims to evoke a sense of connection between the viewer and the natural world and it’s important for her to capture the essence and beauty of the places she visits. She has recently changed her style from representational to abstract/semi-abstract and is updating her website to reflect this.

The sea, beach huts, and expansive open skies of her home town, Whitstable, are where she finds most joy. She is captivated by the textures of the sea defences, the sway of the seaweed and the light on the mudflats at low tide and she tries to evoke this in her paintings.
