IMPORTANT BIDDING INFORMATION
Please make sure you have read our bidding disclaimer before bidding. If you place a bid, if your bid is successfully submitted you will be returned to the the main auction list page. It will not update the page immediately with your bid.
Each artwork shows a current bid and the time when that bid last changed.
We are accepting bids online, by email, in person and over the phone so need to manually update the current bid with the highest bid placed by any of these methods.
As the bidding deadline (4pm UK time on Sunday 22 February 2026) gets closer we will aim to update the current bid more frequently, but we aren't able to guarantee the current bid shown will reflect the highest bid, so please bear this in mind when bidding. If for any reason the website crashes or the phones are busy, please email us your bid, as long as we receive it before the deadline your bid will be included - make sure to include the item you wish to bid on and your bid please. If in doubt about your bid at all, please give us a ring on 01227 281174.
Once the auction has ended, winning bidders will be contacted via email with an invoice and payment can be made online, over the phone or in person.
If you are unable to collect artwork we are happy to package the artwork for delivery, but you will need to organise the courier after the auction has completed and this may not be appropriate for some items.
Happy bidding!
Canal Kingfisher by Rachel Appleby
Lino Cut Print 6/1819cm x 19cm
Lot Number: 28
Artist Statement
Rachel's work is split between printmaking and painting with some other crafting thrown into the mix. She discovered her love of printmaking while studying her Textile Design degree at Nottingham Trent University during her final year project in 2018. Since starting her small business in 2020, Rachel has continued to push her creative practice, selling work in galleries, taking part in makers markets and exhibitions as well as working on unique commission projects. Her love of the sea is most evident in her style of work, capturing many coastal locations through lino print and oil paint. Themes of home, memories, places and the natural landscape are represented in her signature, stylised way of working.
Bidding is now closed.
Thank you.
