The Rehearsal Rooms is a small, focused acting group based at the Horsebridge Arts Centre in Whitstable, Kent. The group is deliberately small (around six people) to keep the work focused and the accountability real.
Sessions run fortnightly on Wednesday evenings. The first hour is spent working on scenes in pairs, and the second hour each pair performs in front of the group. We run each scene two or three times, which gives everyone the space to explore, make bold choices, and try something different. Feedback is built into every session, and some sessions include filmed self-review as a tool for development.
It's open to anyone who wants to run lines, practise scenes they love, work on self-tapes, or simply keep their skills sharp between jobs.
