On Thursday 26 January the Young People from ISP Fostering Whitstable along with their teacher Sarah had an outing to the Centre to take part in an art workshop to create a series of prehistoric fossils that would be found in the layers of sediment under the Antarctic Ice.
With guidance from our Young Makers Club leader Nicola and using images they had sourced as part of their research, they created some absolutely beautiful mono print fossils, footprints and recreations of many of the animals that would have roamed the land millions of years ago when it was a temperate climate.
They also brought along a super presentation in which they had collated all their research which will also be on display during the February half term alongside our mural and you can see here.
