A showcase of art and inspirations from much loved local artist Patrizia Burgess as well as her son Luca Burgess.
The exhibition will explore Patrizia’s whimsical, creative and magical inspirations she drew from her life in Whitstable and beyond. Well known for her pen work, her abstract and contemporary mix produced fun and beautiful works which will be displayed as a true celebration of her life, through what she enjoyed doing the most.
Patrizia died in August 2025 and right up until she did, would use art as her avenue for expression, love and positivity. She enjoyed exhibiting in the Horsebridge with friends previously as well as other local galleries and very much inspired and encouraged her son Luca to use his talents, which are also on display.
Luca lives in Canterbury and has spent his adult life channelling his expression through his abstract art, both on canvas, mixed media and more recently his digital art. He has managed his mental health struggles through schizophrenia through his extensive reading, exploration and inspiration from a range of cultures and his abstract expressionism on display reflects the man he is today.
