You can see when Family ceramic Christmas Decorations Workshop is next running and how to book a specific class in Next available at the end of this page.
Come and join us for a festive ceramic crafting session, lead by professional ceramic artist and teacher Anastasia Tory, who recently arrived in Whitstable from The Ukraine.
This workshop is for both parent and child participation (6-11 yrs)
In this two hour workshop you will create your own Christmas decorations from earthenware clay and learn a variety of exciting decorative techniques.
You will be given a piece of clay on which to explore a range of printing techniques, cutters, textures and stamps.
Once you are happy with your designs, you can apply these techniques to start working on your decorations. Participants with some experience can be guided in making a ceramic bell for the Christmas tree.
Feel free to experiment and make as many pieces as you like, then choose your favourites to be fired.
At the end of the workshop, you will have 3-5 handmade ceramic Christmas decorations which will then be fired and returned to you in ten days.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some ceramic experience (Children must be aged between 6-11 yrs)
Wear clothes you are happy to get a little messy in is recommended!
All materials, tools and firing are included.
