Classes & Workshops for adults

There are many activities regularly taking place in the centre, a mix of classes run by tutors who hire our spaces,  so please use the contact information to contact them directly for any queries or to book, and Studio Sessions run by us.

Some classes only run during term time or have specific start dates, so please make sure you check the calendar or with the tutor before turning up.

Monday Alison O’Neill, Frances Moran and Diane Rogers will be delivering the new 40+ contemporary dance class in Whitstable

Saturday Bollyjoy Bollywood Dance Classes with Ash Mukherjee is a weekly invigorating dance gathering that is designed to get you out of your head and into your body.

Drop-in group: The Rabbit Hole

Wednesday Ann Small is running a group drop-in event for those interested in any form of sewing, crochet and mixed media. Beginners and experienced all welcome.

History Sessions: The Whitstable Murder Club

Thursday Fascinated by true crime? Want to play detective? Join an expert local historian in this 6-week course to examine the real case files from six historic murders and decide whether the prime suspect was innocent or guilty.

Joanna movement matters- mat based Pilates

Tuesday Mat based Pilates classes focusing on functional anatomy and structured not only to give you exceptional Pilates experience, but also to teach you about your body and its natural movements.

Music Sessions: 10 Week Jazz course with Richard Rozze

Thursday A fantastic opportunity to broaden your musical knowledge and to meet like minded musicians, whilst learning a variety of jazz styles. Focusing on all areas of performance and improvisation. Suitable for all instrumentalists and vocalists of an intermediate to advanced level.

Oil Pastels workshops with ArteStart

Tuesday An introduction to using oil pastels through experimentation and learning techniques to create pastel drawings from objects and the landscape.

Pilates with Alison

Thursday Practice pilates regularly and your body will become stronger, toned and more flexible. Suitable for people of all ages and levels of fitness. Small class sizes - maximum 12 participants.

SHIFT with Lara and Jodi

Wednesday Weekly barre fitness classes combining elements of ballet, Pilates and yoga to create a vibrant workout.

Studio Sessions: Monthly Print Club

Tuesday Print Club is a social, sharing, learning group, set up to offer a studio space where people with some experience of the process can come to experiment and produce their own prints.

Yin Yoga with Emma

Sunday Yin Yoga is a slow paced practice where postures are held for longer.
