Altered State

Stephanie Brunton Paintings and prints from two local artists. Change occurs over time and things are not always as they appear. Masks that people wear to change their persona are at times obvious and at others, more subtle.

Meeting the Sky: In Print & Light

Deborah Isabella Gilbert & Nick Gilbert Working in acrylic paintings, photography and print; the main theme that is common in our work is light.

Holding Home

Susie Calvert This exhibition displays artworks exploring the theme of ‘home’. Through drawing, painting and printmaking Susie demonstrates a sense of space both dreamlike and solid at the same time. Participants are invited to join her to create their own magical landscapes, homes of their own making.

ArtSpring Gallery at Horsebridge

ArtSpring Gallery Tonbridge ArtSpring is an artist co-operative showcasing high quality work by members and associate members. Work includes painting, printmaking, digital art, jewellery, ceramics, glassware, sculpture and textile art.

The World is My Oyster & Locus Arts Retrospective

Locus Arts Group Members of Locus Arts present a series of landscapes and seascapes from their travels around the world. We have been to many places, but the UK and Whitstable holds a special place in our hearts. There will also be a Retrospective display of work in gallery 2.

Art is Fun

Barbara Drinkwater Our exhibition will demonstrate how art can be fun for all ages. We especially want to encourage children to engage and interact with the work.

Life Stories

Catherine Robinson All living things tell their own stories. In printmaking, drawing, collage and words, Catherine Robinson observes and retells the compelling life stories of plants, animals and people she encounters.

This Is What The Menopause Looks Like

Osborne & What C.I.C Catrin travelled the UK meeting menopausal women and recording their positive and negative experiences of the menopause. She wanted to celebrate women going through post and peri menopause and give them a voice.

Heart of the Stitch

East Kent Embroiderers A celebration of all things textile, including machine and hand embroidery, felting and quilting. Exploring acceptance of embroidery as an art form.

On a Wave

Dan Harnett Inspired by my long and close association with the sea. My forthcoming exhibition “On a Wave”, draws from experiences and memories from my time in the merchant navy and childhood memories growing up on the Kent coast.

Whitstable Biennale 2022

Whitstable Biennale We’re pleased to announce that Whitstable Biennale will return this year, taking place from Saturday 11 June to Sunday 19 June 2022. This year’s festival borrows its title from Mimi Khalvati’s evocative poem, Afterwardness.

The Profanity Embroidery Group The PEG (Profanity Embroidery Group) take on an alternative approach to the Queen's Jubilee Celebrations in this pop up exhibition of X rated needlework.

Whitstable Art Society The theme of this exhibition is one of interpretation and inspiration from many artistic sources. The subject matter is eclectic, having been chosen by our members, and will be rendered in many different mediums.

Faces of Friendship

Faces of Friendship celebrates the diverse faces of volunteering through an exhibition of photographic portraits of people who took part in the Befriending project set up by local charity, Red Zebra, during the pandemic. The photographs will be taken by GCSE photography students from The Whitstable School.

Boxing Men

Ben Dickson 'Boxing Men' is an exhibition by Whitstable based portrait artist Ben Dickson. This exhibition is a set of large scale portraits of boxing legends with accompanying biographic details exploring their mental health issues and relating this to men struggling against adversity in life.
