All part of a larger project that includes young people from ISP Fostering and our volunteer group.
On Thursday 26 January the Young People from ISP Fostering Whitstable along with their teacher Sarah had an outing to The Horsebridge to take part in an art workshop to create a series of prehistoric fossils that would be found in the layers of sediment under the Antarctic Ice.
This week saw the start of our 'Extraordinary Places' Antarctica Project, working with our volunteer group, Young Makers and ISP Fostering to create all the parts of a large communal mural highlighting the unique eco system of Antarctica and the effects of climate change on this fragile environment.
Throughout 2022 and Awards for All grant from The National Lottery has been supporting over 200 people to attend various creative sessions, including a core group of around 12 volunteers who meet weekly.

The Horsebridge has partnered with artist NaoKo Takahashi to bring a series of multiple voiced spoken word performances over 4 evenings at sunset as part of the Estuary Festival associated programme. Supported by Arts Council England.
A creative community project that has brought enjoyment during lockdowns and now brings so much colour inside and outside the centre for our re-opening.
We are delighted that one of the core group who took part in YDM has been enabled to gain a place on the Creative Media Practice Diploma starting in September!
We are opening our doors again! From 7 September we are opening just for our wonderful tutors to start running classes (please note you will need to book with them to attend). Then from 7 October we will be open Wednesday to Sunday to everyone, launching with our Connection In Isolation exhibition.
