Celebrate the colours and renewal of spring while exploring the rich coastal life of Whitstable’s shoreline, from delicate flora to diverse fauna.
Over four sessions, you’ll develop observational drawing and watercolour skills, creating a personal Art Journal inspired by your discoveries. Through studio and beach sketching sessions, you’ll learn to observe and record the shoreline’s character—from mallow and seaweed to cormorants—bringing marine life vividly into your work.
This course is suitable for beginners as well as those wishing to further develop their practice.
Students are encouraged to bring their own materials: Watercolour paints, brushes, sketching materials and watercolour sketchbook. Details of which will be provided.
